Valentine’s Day is great, but have you heard of Galentine’s Day? Celebrated on February 13th, this is a day dedicated to honoring the incredible friendships between women. For military spouses, where friendships often become family, Galentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to gather, laugh, and celebrate the strong bonds that get us through deployments, PCS moves, and everything in between.

If you’re looking to host an unforgettable Galentine’s Party, here’s everything you need to make it special!

1. Pick a Theme & Decorate

Make your space festive with a theme that sets the mood! Some fun ideas include:
💖 Pink & Red Pajama Party – Cozy up in cute PJs with blankets and heart-shaped snacks.
🍷 Wine & Charcuterie Night – Sip and snack while sharing your funniest (or most embarrassing) military life stories.
🎬 Chick-Flick Movie Marathon – Classics like Legally Blonde or Bridesmaids are always a hit!

Set the scene with heart balloons, fairy lights, and a fun photo booth area for Insta-worthy memories!

2. Plan Some Fun Activities

No party is complete without a few fun activities!
💌 DIY Love Letter Exchange – Write letters of encouragement to each other or send them to deployed spouses.
🎲 Galentine’s Game Night – Play games like “Never Have I Ever: Military Spouse Edition” or trivia about your duty station.
🎨 Craft & Sip – Make friendship bracelets, decorate mugs, or create self-care gift bags.

3. Treat Yourselves to Delicious Snacks

Keep it simple yet festive! Consider a:
